Homeowners that have trees have a constant battle with overflowing gutters that cause most of their moisture problems. So either you clean out the gutters yourself or you constantly pay someone else and hope that the problems will be reduced.
Gutter Cleaning:

The Raleigh/ Wake Forest area was hit with 3-5 inches of rain in 2 hours this morning- more than what most of the Gutter Guard Systems can handle in the valleys once the valley’s clog.

Because we got such a good response from the How to do Gutter Cleaning we thought a few suggestions on pressure washing could be helpful.
Electric Power washers ($165 or so) are good 1800 psi is usually sufficient when you use an effective chemical for your home. Also you can buy attachments like an extension rod which will get you closer to the dirt or jets which spin and clean decks and driveways. The chemical should be able to “eat away” the algae and dirt without hurting any plants or animals. The following is a method you can use:

Hello, we wanted to help those who have not yet experienced the fun of Gutter Cleaning.
1. Use a ladder that is safe. You can purchase a stand-off (stabilizer) from Home Depot or Lowes for around $20 which will prevent the ladder from sliding or falling sideways. Also levelers are a great added safety feature for unlevel surfaces.
2. You can either use a 5 gallon bucket to put the debris in or use a gas blower from the roof if it is low pitched and safe to walk.
3. There are certain chemicals you can use to make your gutters look bright white and new again also but they need to be “hand” rubbed to apply.
